And just like that, 2023 has come to an end.

I delivered the final gallery of the year today. Woah.

I'm so excited to reflect back on some of the peaks of this last year. It was one of the hardest for me personally, but there were endless happy moments in my business. I had the honor of creating photo magic with so many new people and I can't wait to showcase some of my favorite images. Thank you all for coming along on this journey with me!

Let's take a look at some of the stats-

*Birth Stories- 11

8 hospital, 3 home. The number should have been 16, but due to factors out of my control (hospital policy, precipitous birth, etc), five birth clients became newborn clients.

*Newborn Sessions- 11

*Pregnancy Sessions- 6

*Family Sessions- 8

*Boudoir Sessions- 2

*The Bare Body Project- 3 Rounds!

*Belly Paintings-2

BIRTHS

Let's take a peek at some of my favorite birth images!

A few exciting things happened!

I photographed a cesarean birth for the first time (Maine Medical Center).

I photographed a home birth outside, a first (and hopefully not last!) for me.

I photographed my first (and second!) water birth.

I had my first repeat birth client!

I even RECEIVED a few accolades!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the newborn sessions.

Here are a few of my favorite pregnancy images!

A super exciting moment for me this year was launching The Bare Body Project!

I had been daydreaming about this for a couple years. It's where the "Body" in Birth Body Photography came from. My hopes and dreams for this project are to normalize normal bodies and to celebrate them. To create a safe space for vulnerability and love. To challenge the societal norms that have encouraged us to take up as little space as possible. To challenge diet and bounce back culture. To create art with amazing humans.

Not only did I launch The Bare Body Project, but I held three rounds this year! 19 adults and 4 babies participated. I had a few folks who joined in on more than one project day which was so so fun! I'm looking forward to hosting more project days in 2024.

Here are some of my favorite images from all three rounds.

Thank you all so much!

I photographed so many amazing people this year. So many new faces, as well as a whole bunch of familiar faces, too!

I can't wait to see what 2024 has in store and where my heart, soul, and camera will take me.

If we have worked together before and you haven't had a chance to leave me a review yet, I would be endlessly grateful if you took a couple of minutes to write one! Reviews are a wonderful way to help a small business like mine grow, and gives potential clients a little insight into what it's like to work with me!
